Magic Carpet Ride

Magic red and blue carpet ride
Take me high and far away
Out into the great expanse
On yellow and pink hue
Let me spin my web
And catch stardust in my mitt
I want to escape my shell tonight
So magic carpet ride
Fly me right
Into the embrace of the Gemini constellation
Straight into the arms of self-emancipation
Let me feel the kind and gentle wind flying through my lochs
As I dance with the twins tonight!
Swirling and twirling through galaxies
Pasted with rainbow lights
That no eye has ever beheld –
Oh I want to become one
With the setting of the sun
And dance under moonbeams
Filtering down
But oh how I hate the ground
To be grounded is to be dull I should think
Magic carpet ride
Color me green
And take me out into the rainforest scene
Where species are found anew
and tree frogs jump to and fro
and there is really so much more to know!
Magic carpet ride of red and blue
Fly me low into morning's dew
So I may quench my thirst on sweet nectar
And then back up upon a lighthouse star
So I may gaze on all who are
Stuck on the ground and dull and bland
Never let me touch the ground of man
While I am still young at heart
And that will be to my dying day
Oh magic carpet ride, away, away,
Out on top the mountain high
Like an eagle let us fly
And soar and drop and up and down
But please don't let me touch the ground!

Magic carpet rides are not for the faint of heart,
Nor is it right to take stars out of their place,
Or with an eraser the moon to erase!
Magic carpet ride of red and blue,
You move my soul you really do.
From the deepest part that is true,
Thanks so much for the red and blue!
Thanks for the emancipation of my fiery heart!
I will just tuck you away now until I feel another spark!
Then with that we'll groove and spin,
And rock this world again and again.
So with much gratitude I say goodnight,
Magic carpet right you are my hearts delight!
